Camouflaged clothing dries over blue-yellow playground equipment in a military base somewhere in Donetsk Oblast. “Every couple of weeks soldiers who are stationed in combat zones rotate and enjoy some well-needed days off,” says the photographer Daphne Wesdorp. “It is strictly forbidden to photograph a military base in any way that can reveal its location out of fear it will be bombarded.”
