Liam Kennedy is a Nashville based photojournalist who primarily focuses on natural disasters and conflict. He has been photographing for more than 10 years, eight of which while serving in the Navy as a Mass Communication Specialist. While serving, he documented complex stories such as everyday life at sea, special forces and the aftermath of natural disasters such as Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, Hurricane Irma in the US Virgin Islands and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Most recently Kennedy documented the war in Ukraine as well as the tornado that ravaged Western Kentucky.
